OPEN CALL FOR ONLINE ART EXHIBIT

Every month, the Finding Fine Art blog will host an online exhibit that is open to all artists. This month's theme is...

TRANSFORMATION

All artists online are welcome to join in. Simply choose one of your works of original Fine Art * that fits the theme (it's up to you how you choose to interpret the theme) and post a link to that image online in the comments section of this post. By adding your link, you give me (Jessica Torrant) permission to include your work in a blog post at the end of the month as well as a YouTube video of the exhibition. Your name, the title of the artwork and a link to find you/your work will be included in the blog post and in the description of the video.

Spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, on your blog - wherever! While you're at it, please follow Finding Fine Art on Twitter and Facebook.

* Fine Art categories include painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, photography, hand pulled prints.

UPDATE: I can't download images from flickr like I can on Etsy so if there's anywhere else you have it online, please use that link - thanks!

  3. fabulous, jessica!
    Here's my link: http://picasaweb.google.com/studio21south/ReImagingNewYork#5514480400970324562

The piece is titled "What Smell?", and in case you're wondering how it fits the theme, it's a painting of a sewage treatment plant. What could be more transformative than that? :)

  21. Wonderful theme for the first exhibition!

    Here is my submission: http://marilynfenn.com/art/succession/succession-2/?titleid=243

    "Succession 42"
    Oil on Canvas
    48" x 60"
20 Canvases, Mounted on Cradled Plywood

This piece deals with evolution, from the Big Bang and DNA to ocean life and more, and was inspired by the idea of ecological succession. The imagery for each of the 20 canvases evolved from the edges of the canvases abutting each side.
